I started this business because I enjoyed doing PC-related crafts and graphics and I was in the full-time working engineering career path with two small daughters at home. Disappointed with trying to balance work outside the home and family life, I started Heartstrings Favors and Gifts. Not only has it been something I can do from home, but also an occupation I have come to really enjoy doing.

On many occassions I have designed and assembled invitations, announcements, thank yous, favors and DIY gifts for myself and my family and friends. Now by request I make the same items for others with the same personal touch.

The name, Heartstrings, came about after hearing a story about my youngest daughter. As I was picking her up from daycare the teacher told me how my daughter was holding onto a photo of her with me and her sister and saying "Momma Momma". My teary-eyed reply to the teacher was, "That just pulls at my heartstrings!" Oh how I missed her too! And so, I have dedicated this business to my daughters. Without them I would have never had the ambition and determination to ever get started in this business.
